It’s been a rough week for the Gold Cup players. An intense Queen’s Cup followed by an tough start to the Gold Cup, with no break, plus intense heat has led to several possibly game changing injuries which will certainly affect the dynamic of the tournament. You need to be aware of who is playing and who is out whether permanently or temporarily to make sure you’re not missing out on any points.
Christian “Magoo” Laprida missed his last game with La Bamba de Areco, out with an injury and this may have been part of the reason for their loss to Habtoor which saw them out of the tournament.
Adolfo Cambiaso suffered an injury to the back of his leg mid game against Talandracas and will be replaced in his quarter final match by Hilario Ulloa (tbc) who took his place in the final 2 chukkas of their last match.
Agustin Merlos is suffering from a groin injury and will not line up with La Indiana in their quarter final against Sommelier on Saturday. He will be replaced by big brother Pite Merlos.
