Players to Watch
Both of this week’s players to watch are from Travieso, the team that has come from behind and surprised everyone. They have made big points this week getting in to the semi finals and we look forward to seeing them although it is of course worth bearing in mind their opponents on Wednesday will be the mighty Valiente which may curb their point scoring abilities somewhat and even eliminate them from further point scoring opportunities.
Alfredo Cappella I know I wrote about him before but if you watched the game on Sunday you saw he started taking Travieso’s penalty 4s which is a huge bonus to his value because he can crush the ball and if he can make this a consistent part of his game than he should be in for a large boost in points. The only thing we don’t know is if he will continue to take the penalty 4s or if Mariano will pick those back up for the semifinals. This makes him an interesting player to watch.
Mariano Gonzales has been playing great throughout the tournament and has earned his place as number two in the FP Ranking system. I want to put him in players worth their price tag, but since Cappella started taking the penalty 4s in their game against Coca Cola this hurts his value if it is a long-term change, we will just have to wait and see. He is still a solid ick and big point scorer for those looking for a safe bet.
