It was a Valiente win at yesterday’s rescheduled US Open final against last year’s defending champion Orchard Hill. This win means not just another US Open Championship title for Valiente, but also an American Triple Crown title having also won the CV Whitney Cup and the USPA Gold Cup earlier this year.

An excitingly close match that went to OT meant big points were scored all round. Unlike the first match up between the two mighty sides, where few players scored big Fantasy points, this match was open and flowing, and although it was a win for Valiente it was Orchard Hill’s day in Fantasy. Facundo Pieres earned his loyal managers 31.25 placing him at number 1 in the FP rankings, while cousin Pablo Pieres earned a huge 37.75 moving him in to 7th in the rankings.

Diego Cavanagh, scorer of the golden goal that sent Valiente to overtime victory, scored 28.25 points and proved his worth once again as a key member of an impressive line up taking his place at 6th in the ranking.

Success all round for the two epic teams that finished up this exciting season in style.

The US high goal season might be over but there is plenty of excitement to come and we will keep the stats and info flowing so you are ready for the UK season starting soon!!
