King Power Foxes 14 vs 13 Habtoor

First up it was Pieres and Pieres vs Pieres in a battle between Habtoor and King Power Foxes which went in to overtime as Habtoor put up a serious fight. in fact it was the new team Habtoor leading the charge almost entirely throughout the match, evening up the score at 4-4 in the second chukka and not letting the King Power boys have an inch as they finished the first half at 6-6. This seemed to boost their confidence and with 3 unanswered field goals from Nico and Elizalde, they started to take the lead in the second half, slipping a little as they neared the end and King Power were just able to even the score in the 6th chukka with 2 field goals and a safety 60 from Facundo to push them in to a 7th chukka at 13 goals apiece. A foul from Nico led to big brother Gonzalito putting the ball through the posts from a 30 to win the game.

Match Progression:

La Indiana 11 vs 9 El Remanso

Much like the first match, this contest between last year’s finalists La Indiana and the homebred team El Remanso was all tied up in the first half. 5-5 by half time meant the match was anyone’s and with open flowing polo, it was a great game to watch. It was all about on field performance today as 7 out of the 9 El Remanso goals were field goals, divided equally between all the players. Each El Remanso was on the scoreboard twice and James Beim was top scorer adding in a 30 yarder. All of La Indiana’s 11 goals were from the field with 3 goals apiece for Bickford and Tomlinson, 4 for Agustin Merlos and 1 for Nic Roldan. A good win for La Indiana to put them at 2 wins to 1 loss.

Match Progression:

2-3 4-4 5-5 8-6 10-7 11-9
